Phillip Maxwell, PA-C
Phillip earned his Master of Science Physician Assistant Degree from Touro College School of Health Sciences in Bay Shore, New York in 2011. Phillip began his career in Emergency Medicine at Elmhurst Trauma Center in New York City working directly with Level 1 trauma patients in the acute care setting. There, he was awarded Physician Assistant of the year in 2016 by Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
Prior to joining the team at Orlando Immunology Center, Phillip had been working as an Emergency Medicine PA at AdventHealth Celebration where he hopes to integrate his knowledge and skill set into a more focused care setting treating his peers in the LGBTQ+ community at large. Phillip had worked as a clinical preceptor for Physician Assistant Students for AdventHealth University from 2018-2022. He is a current member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), and the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants (FAPA).
Phillip’s Master Thesis is focused on HIV transmission and how potential genetic alterations of the immune system can prevent infection in the foreseeable future.
